Killruddery Festival is in its prime with our first year featuring world renowned and critically acclaimed legendary artists such as Jose Carreras and Michael Ball. This will now become an annual musical event presenting artists across all music genres occurring in August each year and we plan to enhance our customers experience with features and artists to last the test of time.
Killruddery Festival is held in the 17th century gardens of Killruddery House at the foot of The Sugar Loaf mountain. Home to the Earls of Meath since 1618, Killruddery House is one of the most successful Elizabethan-Revival mansions in Ireland. Killruddery is unique in having the most extensive early formal gardens, still in their original style, surviving in Ireland.
The concerts in Killruddery will take place in the intimate and ambient open air gardens of the house which have a natural gradient and spit level design lending to the intimacy of each event. Visitors to Killruddery Festival can enjoy picnics, which are purchased on site, in the stunning gardens and explore the grounds in all their glory.
This year the events take place on the 28th and 29th of August 2010 with performances by Jose Carreras with a 64 piece orchestra and Michael Ball with his orchestra and guests.
